The monitoring of odors in the area is based on the sensory impression of an issue reading through sensory analyzers (Intelligent Sensor Array). Through the sampling of a possible dispersion of odorous source, the instrument is capable of storing the fingerprint emission and subsequently recognize the same on the territory.
Being aware of fingerprint emission it is possible to create a map of the dispersions of a plant, to determine the presence and location of an odorous source, assessing the duration and the emission intensity, to control the dispersion of a single “volatile”, monitor and verify in real time the quality of air in a closed or open environment, etc. In addition, it will be possible to compare two or more similar sources (or not) of emission evaluating the impact on the territory. Finally, by means of correlation with monitoring sensors of wind direction and speed, it is possible to create a scenario of odor dispersion, the area of contamination and the waiting time to return to a normal situation.
Utility:
- Control of origin, dispersion and residence time on the territory of even a single component odorous
- Evaluation of the efficiency of abatement systems (eg. biofilters)
- Monitoring of air quality
Through the sampling of a possible dispersion of odorous source it is possible to store the fingerprint of the same on the electronic nose and therefore subsequently recognize the same on the territory.
